The Pearl is the second newest neighborhood in Portland (behind South Waterfront which is the newest). It was previously railyard and industrial that’s been converted into condos and businesses. It’s quintessential urban living with a fantastic blend of condo homes, interesting businesses, and food/drink. So many community events pop off here (First Thursdays, Cider Fest, Movies in the Park, Shamrock Run, etc.). Key features: Jaimeson Park Fountain, 13th Street, Tanner Springs Park, The Fields Park (currently closed), Willamette River walking path, Powell’s Books.
